I went out to Gum Swamp at Forbes yesterday and found some Freckled Ducks. These are the first wild ones I've seen. They were hanging out with the Grey Teals.
Also saw lots of duck families,
Pink-eared Ducks:

There were heaps of Grebes too:
A lot of lovely ducks and a lot of great shots of them. I'm yet to see my first wild freckled duck. Thanks for sharing :)

Great to see shots of freckled duck, Akasha (not to mention the other species).
Years ago they were endangered & there was lots in the press about them & the need for duck shooters to take care with their aim, so to speak. What's their current status?

I've never seen Freckled Ducks or Pink-eared Ducks.
The Freckled Ducks look really big compared to the Teals.
