This morning I went to Glenrock Lagoon, a great bush reserve nearly in the middle of Newcastle. Its a fantastic place with a creek, and waterfalls, and rainforest patches, as well as the standard eucalypt stands.

I love the lighting on the bird combined with the deep blue background - very striking. I'll have to go there
WOW! that second shot ... she looks just like a trapeze artiste wearing a tutu on the high wire. Wish I had taken it! All just fabulous.
