This photo was taken on a visit to Glenrock State Conservation Park, near Newcastle, NSW, back in March. It's a wonderful place for bird-spotting. In the course of our first bushwalk there we saw at least five bird species we'd never seen before!
At one point we crossed a stream where a tree had fallen into it, and its branches were just swarming with little birds... Silvereyes, Spotted Pardalotes, and Grey Fantails among them. The Fantails were flitting about constantly and seemed to be so tame that they almost landed on us!
