Gympie Birds

Just reposting this under the correct thread.
Here are a couple more from my day in the country at Gympie. It was 38degrees and I looked out and saw a tiny bird in a tree....that was it for me off I went with the camera leaving everyone else in the aircon shaking their heads in disbelief!!
Double barred finches:

Male & female red backed fairy wrens...at last

Hey Birdie, I don't know what ur going on about in another post.... saying you have camera shake... what camera shake??? those are great shots. The first double barred finch is perfect, what a gorgeous looking bird, never seen it before.Nor the red back fairy wrens so thanks for sharing (and melting for your art!)

Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best

Thanks Hev, but if you look closely at a large version you can see it. maybe I am just too much of a perfectionist!!
The double barred finches were a first for me too. I forgot to add this little fellow, sharing the thicket with the others

Great work, love the finches esp. the first photo, very crisp. And congratulations on getting your wrens, I'm still trying to catch that sneaky Bulbul on camera when it's around in a good position. Been trying for about 4 months now and only got an alright photo from about 20 odd out.

Hey Amateur, these shots were out of about 50 I took at the time and then I had to do some editing & cropping to make them look better. That is why I am always looking for a nice sharp image or else you have no show of doing a nice crop.
You should have seen how excited I was when I spied those little double barred finches!! :'D I could have stepped over a brown snake and not even noticed!!!
