Some nice pics, I especially like the welcome swallow. Did you have to get close or did you use a powerful lense? (or is the image cropped?)
Nice Birdgirl..... are you a lifetime member there or something?
Don't tell me you pay the $10 every time you go?
It would be good to go at different times of year, and see the whole range of seasonal bird life.
Sunshine Coast Queensland
Thanks
berldo I get as close as I can without scaring them off and the camera lens is 35-420 and I have a 1.7x teleconversion lens on as well (boosting it to 714). I cropped the small birds. I have become a bit of a birds of prey nut, so it is good to spend some time on the little ones
birdie I probably only go a couple of times a year at random times, but don't mind paying $10 for a couple of hours of birding (cheaper than a movie or even a paperback book these days)
Love the photo of the welcome swallow, about them I think they're still in the "preparing the nest" stage as I saw a few at school bringing the odd feather back to their nest, I know they successfully raised some young last year so it's good to see them back again :) And I couldn't think of a $10 better spent! There are no good movies round anymore..
