Ibis Rookery, Middle Lake, Kerang

I often drive through Kerang, and for years I have skipped the Middle Lake bird hide because the lake had largely dried up. As we know, Kerang was subject to heavy flooding last December, when the Loddon River burst its banks. Since then I have been keen to get back there to see what changes the floods have wrought. Well, last Easter I got my chance.

There was a huge number of waterfowl there, wheeling through the air and perched on the shore as well as in the lake. Here is a sample photo.

There is a photo there of a wren, which I could use some help identifying.
