I thought this was a lovely shot of the Kookaburra trying to keep the sun off his body with his wing.

That is strange, I thought I answered this yesterday but it is not here! I think the shot is very artistic too Misty with the rustic look. Instead of shading his body, it is just possible that the kooka is sunning himself by stretching his wings that way. lots of birds seem to do it and some theories are that they could be getting rid of parasites that way or maybe they just need a shot of Vit D :)
