I was looking out over the garden yesterday when the Kookaburra suddenly landed in the bottle brush and was digging his head deep into it. Even being dive bombed and snapped at by Black birds, Indian mynahs and a persistent Willy wagtail it did not deter him. But sadly for him he left without any goods. On checking what he was looking for I found these.
Baby Blackbirds
Then I found in our trusty fence post in the paddock the Red Rump sitting on eggs again.
Then further on our walk in the paddock
Great shots Wanda..... glad he left empty handed even if he does have babies to feed.... go catch a snake or a lizard or something LOL

Great shots Wanda, its a cruel world isnt it.
Thank you Cath and Shane just only today I went to check the I saw 2 of the babies out of the nest and sitting in on the branches of the bottle brush. The other 2 were probably looking at me but I could not find them.
Update of Blackbird babies ended up with four saw two today
Sorry everyone not thinking right.
Lovely baby shots. I'd also rather the kookaburra got a grub! One tried to get into our rosella nesting box one year
Lucky he could not get in.
Great shots Wanda... glad he didn't get anything. I didn't realise that baby blackbirds looked like that.
