Four adults and 8 young ones were feeding close to the bank at Baldwin Swamp on Sunday so the wife and I used up a bit of room on the memory card.

Great shot Trev, we won't see young ones up here until after it rains some. the Magpie-geese leave the towncommon as it dries and head to some of the more permenant wetlands to the south of Townsville.

This is the second set of young I have seen this year. Interesting that they are breading earlier than the northern ones, I would have thought it would be the other way around, it's not because of any rain because we haven't had any to speak of.
