I had an incredible piece of luck today. I was photographing a galah on the lawn when a magpie-lark flew down and caught a skink. I like skinks, so I feel sad for it, but it was a great photo opportunity

Magpie-lark with skink
Great catches Kim both of them ... poor little skink..... such is nature though! I never think of Magpie Larks as being hunters like that
Sunshine Coast Queensland
How good is that Kim, the skink looks a bit big for the Magpie-lark, I haven't seen that either. About the:" I feel sorry" bit, we kill cows and sheep, and...., it's just that we pay someone else to kill for us, so we don't have to see it being killed. Then we are fine to eat it. ( May be I shouldn't have said it?)
I love the "left footed galah", nice and sharp. We don't get them here, only in town. They only go where people feed them, like the cockatoos.
(Have a nice new year Kim, my Gang Gang could invite your Galah to come to his New Year's party, they'd make a nice pair. LOL) M-L
