Not sure if this will work as I have redone it countless times and had to shorten it heaps for posting on flickr.
I have been working on a record of the morning sounds of my area
Here is a link... hope it works

Aah... back to the drawing board tomorrow. By shortening the clip I chopped out the catbird recording in error. That was the main point of posting it. I might try you tube and see if I can get a longer version through there.

OK , this should be better...
If it works I hope you enjoy it.

Hey birdie that sounded great. I enjoyed looking at the pics too. I would feel like I was on holiday all the time if I had that around me
HI Birdgirl, did you watch the You tube version?
Yeah it is a bit like being in a bird theme park living here. I want to make a better production and include the names of the birds, and this time match the pics to the background birdsong. the best recording I have done yet was of a Golden Whistler the other day but for some reason the recorder isn't showing it to the computer when I plug it in to USB. I re-recorded it and it is OK but it loses some of it's crystal sound.I am glad you like this one anyway, I don't think anyone else is really into the calls by the look of it.
Yesterday I finally realised that my favourite rainforest call ( that I had thought was the eastern yellow as that is the one you see the most of) is a grey Fantail call. It is a sensational twinkly call.

We all like the calls. Years ago I got 4 cds just of bird calls with no music from the post office. I used to put them on to help my son sleep when he was a baby (to mask sudden noises)
Well I use them for just the opposite. I can retire my alarm clock now LOL this morning the Pied Butchers were going at 4.45am . I was trying to go back to sleep and all I could think of was ....OMG Timmo was right.... they are singing a different song .. he posted something for me about their mating calls in Spring. Funny thing was that once they had been going for an hour or so, then the normal song started. Maybe some juveniles or maybe they only court in the dark!!!

I'd like an alarm clock with mutton birds wailing - I always miss them when we leave Heron Island. And I'd like an Australian alarm clock with a male rosella chiming
