Hi! again Cameraman, for our "back yard" these little guys are the ducks on the local pond.
Your image captures a very important posture in their lexicon of body language messages. We see it virtually every day, but still can't be exactly sure what it means ... so much we don't understand!
Yes, that is a typical pose. We also have them in our yard every day visiting the grevilleas and screaming at the cats. They are quite pretty with the wattle behind the eye and the green on the wing. They have cute babies too, unlike cockatoos!
Ha ha birdgirl. You hit the nail on the head, I was going to say that it looks like the way they sound when they come out en mass to drive the cats away in our garden!!
Great capture, they do seem to have an enormous eye don't they because of the ring?
