I was getting sick to death of the sound of the incessant chirping of the juv Noisie miners and their poor parents around our house. It was a dark rainy day but when I looked out the front door, this bird looked so pretty on the banana palm that it made me realise that ordinary and pesky they may be..... but a pretty bird is still a pretty bird at times.

Great shots birdie i love these little buggas. I wish we had them in our backyard instead on the indian ones that always seem to be visiting. Its funny to see the plumes and new hollands chase them out though. Common they might be but you have taken great shots.

I just saw a great duel between them and the Bluefaced H/Es. But ...when a BOP comes around they all fight on the same side I can tell you LOL

I feel your pain there birdie. I have had at least 15 new families of noisy miners brought up in the big gum tree in my backyard. Lovely shot though. When in the right place they can be a beatiful(I use that term loosely)subject.
