I found this little fellow hiding in a bottlebrush. I'm fairly sure he's a fledgling Owlet Nightjar. I was able to pick him up and have a good look at him and put him back without any trouble. In the past I have had to stop the vehicle so as to not run over these birds and actualy get out and physically remove them from the road. It's a wonder there is any of them left.
And this is possibly it's Mum or Dad.
