This is my first post on this site , love our native birds so i hope to share so images and info on whats happening here in C/Q. This Baza was nesting near our home not far from Awonga Dam.Hope i get this right.

Great photos. Bazas are one of my favourite birds. They regularly used to visit our suburban garden a few years ago. Have not seen them for a while now. Always wonder why they stopped coming.

We have several of them up here in Mackay to mate,they are a beautiful bird,well captured.
Thanks Tassie, they do a very interesting free fall in flight during courtship that i witnessed ,quite spectacular.
Very nice Gosy. Love the second one because of the head angle and the colours. So your from a bit further north than the Burrum, should be some nice wildlife around Awonga. looking forward to more from you.
