Thanks, they are such great birds and you don't see them on the ground much. Certainly lucky to see them gathering the nest material- hope to see some progeny soon!
Hi, this is my first post to "Birds in Backyards".
I liked your Pardalote photos so I thought would reply. I only found out what they are called recently by contacting this website, so it seems appropriate for my first post. I find these birds are very shy. Hard to get photos of, so you have done well. This is one I got almost by accident. I hope to get a really clear one eventually.
Welcome Roger also, great first post. They are very hard to get because of their size but I'm finding at this time of year you'll see them more on the ground and I've been able to get close on some occasions. Look forward to seeing more shots.
I agree. Photos of pardalotes are hard to get. I've only got one. This Striated Pardalote was very interested in the exhaust pipe of this vehicle. It flew from a tree to the pipe several times over the course of five minutes.
That is just soo beautiful BBN. I would kill to see a pardalote. Lovely to see there behaviours too.
Thansk for putting them up they are gorgeous

Wanda.
Pardalotes have to be one of my favourite birds!
They're so cute. I'd love to see a Spotted Pardalote.
Well done with the photos.
Well caught BBN.
