Parrots in my backyard today

Today I saw something rather disturbing. Squeaky, the baby lorikeet came in this morning with her parents as usual. After a while she and one parent flew from the feeder up into the gum tree. She begged for food and the parent put his foot on her back a few times, then climbed onto her and mated with her! Poor little baby!
The rosellas are now guarding the box from other rosellas, galahs and rainbow lorikeets. They came around several times today.
I saw a pair of parrots right in the top of the gum tree and they turned out to be scaly-breasted lorikeets (had to look at the photos on the computer to tell). The tree is about to flower, and when it does scalys and musk lorikeets sometimes come in

You have some very sharp clear shots there sis, love that first Rosella tree shot especially.

Very nice Birdgirl.you are so lucky to have those Rosies nesting there,you will have to keep us updated.
