Rainbow lorikeets

Our gum tree flowered better than it ever has and I wanted to get some photos of the birds in it. It was tricky because the leaves and flowers reflect the sun. We have had several bats visiting every night as well - probably grey-headed flying foxes

What a lot of flowers - no wonder the parrots are happy in your neck of the woods!

Certainly a profuse flowering of your gum tree sis and I know exactly how difficult it is to photograph birds in trees like that. Last Xmas in Melbourne I stayed over with my sis in law who has a tree just like that. I could never get a clear shot of the lorikeets among the leaves and branches.
