Red-necked Stint Calidris ruficollis
We were fortunate enough to have this little beauty come close to us while on a cruise along The Coorong a few weeks ago.

Sorry all. My attached file just shows as an attachment, not showing the pic. Maybe someone can tell where we went wrong!
I clicked on the attachment and the pic came up with the photo okay - if you go to the help section in the forum it gives clear instructions about how to do it differently, (through Photobucket or Flickr) but I'm not good at explaining it myself. It is a lovely clear photo though. I thought I had one of these but I do have a problem differentiating those shore-birds - so many of them alike. I'd love to go to the Coorong now it has water there again.
