Ed, great shots. Especially love 'Junior'.

I'm amazed that a nightbird can survive (and even breed) with only one eye. The injury looks fairly old in the picture.

Hi Edward, yes, she obviously is a very capable bird (or maybe she has a very capable partner, (sorry girls)), I have been told she has been around for at least 4 years with the eye missing.

Maybe it was hubby that gave it to her ?!!! and he is feeling guilty ha ha .
Seriously they are beautiful, and I love the junior one. I am going to get to Townsville Common one day... or maybe for a few days

More amazing shots. Junior is absolutely gorgeous. You must have a great system for finding them

These are beautiful owls. Great photos again. Love the baby and think the Mum is rather special.

Wonderful photos again, you are lucky to have so many beautiful subjects nearby. We have seen our first Tawny Frogmouth nest this year, finally took photos today but nowhere near as sharp as yours.
