Went on an excursion to Drean World on friday. Much to my groups dismay I managed to convince my teacher to take me to the Woodland Avairy. WOW. I was surprised with the birds their and even the wild ones there. Heres a few photos I took.
Enjoy!

love your shots,my favourites are the Emu and Brolga.
Well done and thanks for sharing.
Nice shots Qldbird, bet your classmates were rapt lol.
Ha ha Cathshane.... I get the same reaction from my family when we go out! My answer is to take the camera anyway and go along with what is said and then do what I want when we are out! The old rule applies “It’s better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission.” :')
So keep it up Qldbird and your classmates may even learn something in the process .

I was lucky because we had to go through there to see the tiger show. When we were there I suggested to have a food break which luckily for me, just happened to be were all the birds were. :)
Thanks everyone for the lovely comments.
And here is the other one.
Hey Qldbird that is a nice shot of the Rail... they are a very pretty bird when you get close aren't they? I have a couple that I see on my morning walks but they are terribly shy and scuttle off into the long grass when they see us coming.

This one is for birdie,I've been thinking about that "old rule" of yours:-it's better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission- It's a man's rule, my husband lives by it! QLDBird, take no notice of it!!

Araminta...... I am told I am very right brained!!! It's a good rule for me and I have found it works in the workplace too......... don't have a lot of time for political correctness and so on LOL :')
I can assure you I am NOT a man though.....
@ QLdbird... may as well start as you mean to go on I guess :)
