The Swallow nest today

This is what the Welcome Swallow's nest looks like today!!!

There was some noise before, both swallows attacked a Kookaburra that was getting too close! I hope they can fend him off!? M-L

Late this afternoon I saw what I think was an attempted copulation by welcome swallows. Either attempted or so quick that it was succesful. Does anyone know how long it takes for welcome swallows to successfully copulate (or perish.)

Not me, Woko .... and I'm not even going to try and find an answer to that. B'> :'p

I have read that some species of swallow do mate on the wing so I imagine it would have to be quick with the speed and dexterous flight manoeuvres they display.
