A Canon 300mm with a 2x extender on a Canon 1ds mk3. It's hard to get this close without good gear, though it does help having them in your backyard. There are at least 3 families on my land, maybe more, and dozens along the road where I live. I tend to ignore them most of the time. I have yet to get a photo of the red fairy, but he's there so I will catch him sometime.
