Does anyone else think that Blue Winged Kookaburras look evil?
i saw one in a zoo once and i think it's their eyes - they are nothing like the laughing Kookie

I think both kookaburras have that outlawish look with the sort of mask around their eyes. But yes it is definitely the tiny pupils of the BWK that is quite spinechilling. I've heard that their calls are like very distressed cats, wouldn't that be lovely to wake up to.
Really dig the iridescent gleam of blue in your shot, Mike :) As well as with the bee-eater.
