UK Trip- Rook

I spent July in the UK and saw heaps of birds. This is a Rook I saw at Stonehenge.

I was thinking of posting a few more photos. Should I keep posting them here or post them on the General Forum, as they aren't Aussie birds?
Enjoy!

Nice shots. They look like some sort of strange raven. Feel free to keep posting them and best photos doesn't specify only Aussie birds!

Cheers, Owen.

Thanks Owen. Yeah, it took me a while to get the hang of telling the difference between Rooks, Ravens, Crows and Jackdaws.

I totally agree George, we have so much beauty and varitey in our Aussie birds. They don't really have brightly coloured birds in the UK and I missed them. I was so happy to see Rosellas and Cockatoos when I got home and the Superb Parrots arrived a couple of weeks ago so I'm surrounded by colour again and loving it.

Well captured photos of these rooks - they have an unusual skull shape and that with the missing feathers at the base of the beak remind me of the movie style undertakers.:'D

I really like the serious portrait. Hope you enjoyed Stonehenge - we saw it in 1996 - awesome
