in my garden tonight, everything is peaceful,
the Kookaburras are sitting on the fence,
the Rosellas are munching on some weeds,
and the Bronzewing has a little drink
...all is well tonight in my garden.

Great shots. Love it how you consistently get good birds in your yard :)
Cheers, Owen.
Excellent shots and what beautiful creatures to have in your garden..... paradise would be the word that I would select to describe it.

More wonderful and colourful shots M-L I am definitely coming one day when I am able to do so to share your little paradise :')
I would never want to go inside . Your camera is doing you proud too, am very impressed with the results...and of course it is the photographer that ultimately makes the shot . Well done!
We dont get The crimsons up here , is that a Juv with the mixed colour ?

Spot on about that Birdie. The youngest ones are almost all green with only a patch of blue and red on the face and when they get a bit older they look like the last rosella shot M-L took.
Cheers, Owen.
Great shots araminta! What size zoom - out of interest?
Hi mrt71, a Sony lens, focal legth 75-300 F 4.5-5.6. I take almost all my photos at 300 mm, fully extended. These photos were taken from about 3m distance for the Rosellas and the Bronzewing, and about 2.5 m from the Kookaburra. (I'm very good at sneaking up on birds. The rule here for me is a strange one, I used to play competition Tennis, and my coach always told me , if you know, you can't get to the ball, don't bother running. So now my rule now is, if I can't get close to the bird, don't bother taking a photo! It works, it produces sharp photos! LOL)M-L

Your photos are beautiful and the last one really shows off the lovely colours in the wing
