remember last weeks parents? I can hear the young begging for food now, but still well hidden in the dense native grasses.I didn't see mum, but have a good look at dad, the way he looked last week, and how malnourished he looks now! He lost a lot of wait, didn't he? Feeding young is hard work.
on his way to the nest:

look how skinny he is now:
then he did the "rodent run" , he was so fast!! Ido have some very fuzzy photos, I will only put them up at special request, as they are not good.
Sorry had a miss!

Love their twitter and darting about, there is a large colony of them in the scrub on the ocean cliff face walk about Shelly Beach (Manly NSW).
We stopped for nearly an hour on one of the benchs listening and watching the Wrens with the crash of the waves on the rocks below as a background to the "Wren Show".
just 5 minutes ago, two of the babies are out and about. Job well done parents! They are hiding in very dense and dark foliage, hard to get a good shot, but they are soooo cute! M-L
good luck baby, have a happy life!

Good shots. I wish I had wrens around the backyard nesting. They are so full of life.
Cheers, Owen.
