Howdy everyone, I am officially back at work today so will be around a lot more.
I hope all our Perth backyard birders are safe from the fires and that everyone else is ready for some hot weather this week. Don't forget to top up your bird baths to help all your local birds.
The theme this week is heat - share photos of birds enjoying or avoiding the heat - how do your local birds cope?
Having a bath is always great fun

Having a cool drink with that friend in a lake

That little Fairy Wren looks like he is having his first bath ever. You must have been close enough to get splashed there. Look at his wee tiny tail. (too cute)
This one doesn't give a ...... , it says, I just sit in this tree and have a little, most of the day, snooze

What about me you lazy lot? I have some work to do, hot or not, I can't sit in the shade and shut my eyes. Have children to feed..
M-L
are your feet as hot as mine?

I took this photo near Cue WA and the temperature at the time was 50deg, by far the hottest I have photographed in.

These temeratures were taken at my place . Same for the last three days, inside the house, and outside.

To avoid a meltdown we had to dunk our wall weather bureau in a bucket of ice water during the heat wave.
Only joking. But it was certainly hot.
