Bird of the Week: 1st July - funky feathers

Hey gang - hope you all missed me smiley A big thank you to Monica for holding down the fort for me - and a sad farewell to Monica as well (hopefully only temporarily) as her contract is up at BIBY.

This week lets see some funky feathers...

This Pacific Heron (AKA the Jerra flasher) is pretty funky looking.

I love pic No2, even the Coot got a bit excited.

This topic is a real challenge, I had to google the meaning of the word "funky". Very interesting, lost of different meanings.

Rawshorty your Heron (flasher) picture reminded me of one of my own of a Darter who wanted to land in aWhite-faced Heron spot . The White-face Heron is looking sideways holding it's wing up as if to say ''talk to the hand !! ".
