Howdy everyone, apologies for being a day late. Things have been a little crazy here with some massive events on and around Bird Week. I hope you all got out and about and saw some birds and had a good time to celebrate. I know I had a fabulous week talking birds with a whole heap of people, young and old. However, I am now totally exhausted! So I thought - what a great theme for this week's challenge!
Share your photos of either 1. Birds asleep, 2. Looking sleepy or 3. Birds that are out and about when we are asleep
As usual, wait a turn before posting again.
Cheers

Plumed Whistling Duck . What do they say, don't wake sleeping ducks? Or was that , sleeping dogs?

I'm sure there was a little shut eye or two under this Masked Lapwing mum, while the little ones waited for the rain to pass.

This Wompoo Fruit-Dove was half asleep when I spotted him/her. Stunning bird when you see it in flight.

This little one just couldn't keep up with all the grazing it's siblings were doing and had to have a little nana nap.

That's a very good photograph. There's a Tasmanian tourism brochure/web-site producer just waiting for something like that.

Easy to doze off when your warm and safe
Not so easy to doze off when it's in the mid 30's. These Little Black Cormorant chicks were struggling with the heat this morning and so was the photographer by this stage.
