Hi everyone,
Happy Monday! Well, I certainly enjoyed your photos from the last challenge - made me wish I had a swimming pool!
The challenge for the next few weeks is "It's in the details". It's inspired by a recent email sent to me from a new backyard birder who was recently gifted a pair of binos and all of the a sudden the birds around them went from "flying blobs they'd never really noticed" to fascinating creatures with beautiful details. I'm sure we've all had similar moments :) So think about your favourite bits of birds. Maybe that's a close-up of scales on a leg, or feathers, or eyes, or drops of water on a bill...whatever it is, let's see the detail in the bird or the moment.
Also, have a look at our post on the special challenge that will be running over the next couple of months!
Looking forward to seeing all of your photos,
Monica
Here's one of an emu I did. I like the eyes som much I made the rest of the photo black and white.
That way you can really see those beautiful Big Orange eyes.
The ornate tail feathers of a male Superb Lyrebird.
