I went on a bird walk with one of the clubs here in Sydney to the Fred Caterson Reserve, and we saw Musk Lorrikeets, Rose Robins, Eastern Rosellas, Crimson Rosellas, Black Cockatoos, Golden Whistlers, Eastern Spinebill, Fantails. It was a great day and i wouldn't have spotted these on my own, which is the benefit of a group. I have been back again on my own though and did do quite well. It is a great place.
Looks like you're learning heaps, o'connore. How satisfying!
Going out with a group has lots of advantages, for sure, especially if the group has a range of experience levels.
