Hello fellow B.I.B.Yarders
I've got problem today. First it's a lorikeet in my backyard, now it's a baby blackbird (or Common Koel) that's is in my backyard looking lost without a parent. Right now it's 35 degrees C so my parents are doing all we can to feed it, give it a drink and keep it cool. We're going to wait to see if a parent comes for it until 6:15. If not, I'm going to call WIRES. We are feeding it worms, giving it some water and cooling it with a light water sprayer. If anyone has any other advice, please send one in.
Yours Truely

Cannot go wrong if it is eating worms.
Try not to make it dependent upon you, though.
Let its parents find it.
Baby Koel looks nothing like a Blackbird. Longer, barred tail.

Good news Dennis and others
I've got a parent running around the backyard feeding it which is a good sign. Hopefully it will lead it to a safe place to rest.
