NEED HELP: Sick Rainbow Lorikeet URGENT

Dear Birds in Backyards and others

I NEED HELP!

I have a sick Rainbow Lorikeet in my backyard that I think has a muscular problem. It has a blood spot on the top of its left wing and above it's left foot. I don't know what to do. I want to look after it for the night and contact W.I.R.E.S but it just doesn't seem right, so if anyone can get back to me immediatly that would be absolutaly wonderful.

Keep it in a dark quiet place untill you can get WIRES there. They should be able to be contacted even at night if you look in the phone book.

Dear bushanwater

I'm sad to say that the Rainbow Lorikeet has passed away. We did keep in a dark and safe spot but we didn't know that W.I.R.E.S was contactable 24/7. My dad did say that he had seen a sick lorikeet around for a few days but he hadn't told us.
I'm sad that the lorikeet has died but at least he died peacefully.

Unfortunately in my experience most birds with the ijuries you described will die and there is nothing you can do about it other than to get them to a vet and hope for the best. Don't feel too bad, it is unfortunate but as you said at least it dies peacefully.
