Sick pigeon/dove

I found this scrawny looking pigeon ( I think) hunched up on a seat down by the river this morning. Seems to have something wrapped around his feet, like cotton or something. Can't walk properly and only flies in short hops, plus he let me pick him up. Now I am stuck with him here on my bed and wondering what to do with him!
Will wildlife services take feral pigeon type birds?

Well thanks for all the concerned input for this poor little creature. LOL
I cut away his poor claws that were ready to drop off from lack of circulation and will release him today back to where I found him. He's not a native but it is still a defenceless creature

Oops meant to say that I cut away the thread that was wrapped around his claws ....not that anyone really cares anyway as he is a non native :(

How is the little pigeon, sorry I have been away. I found a baby once at my sisters place and rang the people from flora and fauna and they gave me the number of a lady who took in wild birds, even pigeons/doves. Even though it's not a native I still feel for them, in my eyes they still have the right to live.
Hope your little friend is okay????
Let me know what happened??

Regardless of feral or native, all animals have the right to be treated humanely and to not suffer. You did a good thing birdie.

They are pretty hardy creatures so now he can move properly he should be just fine.

Thanks Holly & Kimbo!
This was the last I saw of him as he joined the others in the park ...he was flying fine and walking normally again. A night in the TLC hospital and a pair of scissors worked wonders for him :)
Took this with my phone..must have looked stupid following it around the park LOL
