Haven't seen this bird before. Suspect it might be called a white-cheeked something. Don't think it's a honey eater, so perhaps an insect eater? First time I've seen these and actually saw 2 or three during my walk at the park yesterday.

It's a White-eared Honeyeater.
So, it is a honeyeater even though it doesn't have the longer beak? Thanks for that. I knew it would be a white-something but hadn't thought of eared.

Just one question Kathie, did you make the photo look birghter? I have seen them around my place, but they are a lot more olive-green on the back. Yours looks so yellow?

Kathie here's a closer pic, we sometimes think of the long bill as being typical of honeyeaters but it is not, most of the 74 honeyeater sp. have short or medium bills

It must be the sunlight shining on it. It looked olive green to me. But the sunlight did make it look brighter - it was mostly dark and in shadows around us except for where the bird was at that time.
Thanks for sharing the closer shot. It was a distance away from me and darting in and out of trees.
