Hi folks, as part of Taronga Zoo's Bird Festival, there's an Australian exclusive screening of A Birder's Guide to Everything (a birdwatching/coming-of-age flick, trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cup5DCy3cP0) next Thursday, 6:30pm at the Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace, Cremorne, Sydney.
Tickets are $30 and include a goody bag, with all proceeds going towards Taronga's conservation work, including for the endangered Carnaby's Black Cockatoo (endemic to WA).
The Taronga Bird Keeping team will be there, so it's a good chance to meet them! Here are the details: http://taronga.org.au/bird-festival/film-screening-birders-guide-everything-hayden-orpheum-picture-palace
Hope to see you there! :)
PS If you haven't been down to the zoo this month, I recommend it! There are loads of talks, guided tours and shows celebrating all things birds. The Guided Bird Walk happens at 10:30 and 2pm every day, covering the Finch, Cassowary, Wollemi (Blue Mountains walkthrough) and Wetlands walkthrough aviaries. I'm leading tours on Thursday mornings at 10, so if you can get there, it would be great to meet you all!
Cheers
Luke
