Whoa! Nice find Rick. I agree with Immature Black Bittern. I thought I had one on the week-end but mine turned out to be a juvenile Nankeen Night Heron.

Sorry to say, it's not a Bittern, it's a young Striated Heron.
I agree with Steve, it looks more like a juvenile Striated Heron.
