Haven't been on in a while, but we went to Black Rock Beach, my favourite beach so far. No ticks but I got some better photos of some species
#1 - Little Pied Cormorant (Microcarbo melanoleucos) heaps of these guys just drying their wings on the rocks in little groups
#2 - Superb Fairy Wren (Malurus cyaneus) I definitely wasn't expecting these ones at the beach, they were in the thick scrub, but I got to get really close to them, unfortunately none of the female, but I got the male, eclipse I think?
Nice shots. Looks like the male fairy-wren is coming out of Eclpise and into his breeding colours
a Good Day at Black Rock !
Very nice photos. I really those cormorant photos.
It is surprising what can turn up at beaches besides the usual suspects - i have seen pipits hopping along one beach!
Nice work. Lovely set of birds.
Second Little-pied is my fave.
I love the ones of the S. Fairy Wren.
