After six weeks house/dog sitting on the Gold Coast am back home at Mt Warren Park, just a five minute drive to Eagleby wetlands. Spent two hours there early this morning and after being alerted by some Noisy Miners found this Black-shouldered kite. The Miner fuss was major for the kite and it took off an landed on the vacant Osprey tower on the Albert River.
Nice, Love the 2ns shot with its wings open.

Aiming for DSLR-quality shots with a bridge camera
Excellent photos ... very beautiful bird. Good work with the flight shot.
I find they are one of the easier raptors to get nearer to when they are perched.
Good stuff
I like that second shot as well
Dont take life too seriously, it never ends well
Thanks all. Added the last in-flight shot after returning to the wetlands this morning and the kite was still hanging around.
