I'm pretty sure I saw a Brahminy Kite today - my first. It was pretty impressive! There was what looked like a big mud ball in the branches and I wondered if it might be the nest or am I completely off? Bird Finder didn't list it as this far south but it certainly matched the description and photos. I'm at Crescent Head between Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie.
They are definitely in that part of NSW... I've seen them as far south as Swansea. At least one is regularly seen around Newcastle too.
The nest would be a big bunch of sticks.
