Here is a bird I had never even heard of before going to the Bunya's, the Eastern Spinebill. Like all nectar feeders it was hyper-actively going from flower to flower making it hard to get a good photo....

OMG .... after seeing these photos I think I may have mistaken this bird for the Rufous Fantail. The fantails were all around me and when I looked them up on the bird finder here on this site it confirmed them as fantails.
The one thing that bothered me was that the fantail's bill was shorter and less hooked than the bird that behaved so strangely at my feet. I think this is the bird ?
Thanks for great photos and enlightement.
cool bananas ... greg
Thanks darinnightowl, I am fairly new to bird photography. I got into photography via macro photography and have been photographing jumpers for some time. The jumping spider in my avatar is an ant mimic jumping spider found here in Gladstone, Central Queensland. My ant mimic jumping spiders can be found here on my (http://www.flickr.com/photos/75479251@N07/sets/72157629127455275/) Flickr site set. I think the avatar pic came from this photo ....
