Pictured this bird at Tallaganda State Forest, NSW. Was in close proximity to a scarlet HE so could possibly be a female or juvenile scarlet HE. Im not quite as the black on the cheek area throws me off. Any one have any idea?

I think female Golden Whistler.
Yep Golden Whistler but may be an immature male. Looks like he is moulting and starting to come into his breeding colours
