I took a photo of this bird in the grounds of UQ. It is shaped like a magpie, behaves like a magpie, but the colours are wrong. Is it a magpie that is just different, or something else?

It seems that your bird is a Magpie with a pigment mutation, of some sort.
Brandon (aka ihewman)
When this colour mutation occurs in captive birds its called a "pied",the whitest pied maggie I have ever seen ,geat capture !
Thank you for your replies. Good to know I wasn't imagining things
