Capertee Valley Birds

Hi all

Just got back from the Capertee Valley. These two birds are driving me nuts!

There are two photos of each.

The first one is poor quality - bird flying away - good luck with that one.

The second one shows two birds perched in the tree - not sure what these are.

Cheers

Dave

Sorry, I have no idea about the first two, it is a raptor, if I had to guess maybe a Nankeen Kestrel or a Falcon?? Number three and four are some kind of finch or sparrow, if you zoom in on the 3rd pic you can see the lower bird has a finch beak

First I think is a Raptor. Not a kestral though.

I agree with some finch/sparrow for the second.

Could you crop the images, and add them back, especially of pic 1 and the bottom finch of pic 3

Hi

Thanks for having a go, and thanks for the suggestion HelloBirdy

I don't know if this is any better, but here are the cropped images - the quality has deteriorated unfortunately.

Light morph Brown Falcon isn't a bad guess for the first one. I did see two others in the Valley in the two days I was there.

Is it possible they could be juvenille Diamond Firetails?

I saw a bunch of adults in the valley...
