Chestnut Breasted Mannikin?

Taken at "Flying High Birds Sanctuary" at Childers in Queensland. Is this a Chestnut Breasted Mannikin?

I've just googled Black Headed Mannikin and it looks very similar. Not an Australian bird then.

Thanks Zosterops. There was another one that I was going to put up but I think it's an import as well now.

Apparently it's formed short-lived feral colonies in parts of Australia and there might be some natural vagrants as it ranges down to islands directly to the north of our continent.

Ah, put the other up if you want. smiley

Coming right up! It's from the same Bird sanctuary but I can't find anything like it in my field guide.

Java Sparrow.

Another related bird. This one is not doing too well in it's native namesake (it's been persecuted by rice farmers and trapped for caged birds) though I believe there is an introduced population on Christmas Island and it remains a popular aviary bird.

No wonder I couldn't identify it.

Last one and I'll give you a clue. It is an Australian native.
