Great shots laza. Really like the pic of the striated pardalote. Have tried twice to get a sharp shot like yours of this beautiful little bird and have had focusing issues both times, I think due to the birds colours and the background and my inexperience. You nailed it!
Thanks Guys Yes very chuffed about Paradote. I struggle to get a good shot of the little ones
As i said early the trick for me is to catch them as morning sun is on them. They seem more concerned about singing then annoying me by flying off just as I get them into focus :)

Is this the last shot, that is a lovely bird, I have not seen it.
Great set of photos as always - thats a beautiful photo of the little striated pardalotte. What are those parrots in #2 ?
Thanks WD
Yes the early morning Spring sun had the paradote in fine voice and totally unconcerned by my presence
The parrots are redcaps females or possibly immature males or one of each
Im not sure of the differences
Dont take life too seriously, it never ends well
Thanks laza

Another great set laza, your run continues. :-)
Beautiful photos, which part of the Collie river.
Murray (Stratham)
Thanks Murray
Right up near the Collie River mouth , despite the urban buildup.
There is a great variety from estuary mouth alongthe nature strip along the river (Australiand side)

Thanks Laza, I have only ever seen the Welcome Swallows from a distance in flight, and never in that detail. Lovely photos.
