Went for a long walk at one of my favourite places, Coolart Wetlands. Found the usual birds, like Cormorants, Spoonbills and White-faced Herons. I was most surprised though to see Blue-billed Ducks , but I have never seen Shelducks there. Couldn't find any Freckled Ducks

Morecambe's book says they are 'usually shy secretive', looks like they were the opposite for you!

I can explain why it looks as if the Blue-billed Duck doesn't look shy. I couldn't get them in the same photo, I sat in the hide just above, and he was flirting with the female
