Eastern Spinebill

A couple of shots of an Eastern Spinebill.  In the first image your can see where the stamens have dabbed pollen onto the top of the birds head.

Thank you for your kind comments.  These images were easy to get as our family room looks out over the grevilleas about 3 metres or so away.  I removed the insect screen, closed the curtains and poked the 150-600mm lens out through the gap between the curtains.  I put the top half of an old white sock over the lens hood so that it blends in with the white curtain backing to help camouflage the large lens hood.
