She is guarding her nest, although so well hidden, I can only just see it in the Tea tree, she was very worried about a Kookaburra in a tree above. Her partner was close by, but neither of them was giving any warning calls, it looked like a very good strategy. The Kookaburra payed no attention to them and left. Can't wait to see the babies.
I can't wait to see the babies either. You seem to live in small bird paradise
I do Kim, and there are still some I have heard, but not seen yet. For some reason it's like you and BOP, I think I can read them better than big birds. I have many Owls around, I can hear them at night, but only ever find feathers . One day...?

Nice clear shot as usual M-L. Only the other day we had to ask Owen and now you have a nesting pair! I have revisited the site of my snaps but I haven't seen then again, although there are some Rufous Whistlers nearby, can't wait for more of you pictures, very jealous. Roger

Yes, I have seen him a few times, both of them are very quiet. He is not singing, I only saw him because I know where to find her. I actually saw him when I took the photo. I'm a bit worried at the moment, we just had some very heavy rain and a thunderstorm with some strong wind. I hope they are fine? Dark now, I will have a look tomorrow.
